Derek Peyton Hillis (born January 21, 1986) is an American former professional football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks and was selected in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos, where he spent his first two seasons. In 2010, Hillis was traded to the Cleveland Browns and rushed for over 1,000 yards during his first season with the team. Unable to match his success, he was released from the Browns the following year. Hillis spent his last three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Giants.
