Petar Bogdan
Petar Bogdan Bakshev (Bulgarian: Петър Богдан Бакшев; Latin: Petrus Deodatus) was a Bulgarian Catholic cleric and an important instigator and organizer of the Chiprovtsi uprising, which sought to liberate Bulgarian lands from Ottoman rule. He authored "De antiquitate Paterni soli et de rebus Bulgaricis"- the oldest preserved modern written work on the history of Bulgaria, dated to 1667.
