Paedophryne amauensis, also known as the New Guinea Amau frog, is a species of microhylid frog that is endemic to eastern Papua New Guinea. At 7.7 millimetres (0.30 in) in snout-to-vent length, it is among the world's smallest frogs, second only to some species of the genus Brachycephalus.
It was listed in the Top 10 New Species 2013 by the International Institute for Species Exploration for discoveries made during 2012.
