A Verbandsgemeinde (German pronunciation: [fɛɐ̯ˈbantsɡəˌmaɪndə] ⓘ; plural Verbandsgemeinden [fɛɐ̯ˈbantsɡəˌmaɪndn̩] ⓘ) is a low-level administrative unit in the German federal states of Brandenburg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saxony-Anhalt. A Verbandsgemeinde is typically composed of a small group of municipalities.
