"On My Way Home" is a song by Irish new-age artist Enya, released in November 1996 by Reprise and EMI as the second and final single from her fourth studio album, The Memory Of Trees (1995). The song was written by Enya with Roma Ryan and produced by Nicky Ryan. It achieved minor success, reaching number 22 in Italy and number 26 on the UK Singles Chart in December 1996, but in Brazil, it was a top-5 hit, reaching number four. According to Enya, the song is about "those wonderful memories and fond moments that you have when you're on your way home", and wished to present a positive feel in the chorus. The song contains samples from two other Enya songs, "Book of Days" and "Orinoco Flow".
