Nghĩa Đàn is a former commercial and rural district of Nghệ An province, in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam. As of 2003, the district had a population of 188,871. The district covers an area of 748 km2 (289 sq mi). The district capital is in Nghĩa Bình Commune.
