The Braunschweig Lions are an American football team from Braunschweig, Germany. The Lions are founded 1987 and hold the record of twelve German Bowl victories. From 1997 to 2008, the team played in twelve consecutive German Bowls. Both the team name of the team and the logo are derived from the Brunswick Lion, the landmark of Brauchschweig.
Between 2011 and 2025, the team was known as the New Yorker Lions. Under this name, the Lions won five more German titles and became the most successful American football club in Europe winning four consecutive Eurobowls.
