Captain Nathaniel Carver (24 September 1740 – 1 May 1815) was a prosperous merchant of British America. Near the end of the American Revolutionary War, he was captured by a British naval frigate, HMS Albemarle, commanded by Horatio Nelson, whom he later assisted in escaping a superior French force.
