The Spanish Ministry of War (Spanish: Ministerio de la Guerra) was established as the Secretary of State (Spanish: Secretario del Despacho de Guerra) in 1714. In 1977 it was collected with the Ministry of the Navy and Ministry of the Air to create the Minister of Defence.
