Michael I. Kotlikoff is an American biomedical researcher, veterinarian, and the current president of Cornell University since March 2025. He served as interim President from July 1, 2024. He was the provost of Cornell from 2015 to 2024. Since 1986, his academic research on cardiovascular biology, optogenetics, mouse genetics, and ion channel function has been funded by the National Institutes of Health.
