The mayor of Milan (Italian: sindaco di Milano; Lombard: sindech de Milan) is the first citizen and head of the municipal government of the city of Milan in Lombardy, Italy. The incumbent mayor is Giuseppe Sala, a centre-left independent who won the 2016 Milan municipal election, leading a progressive alliance composed of the Democratic Party, Green Europe, and some civic lists. He won a second term after the 2021 Milan municipal election.
