Maxima (/ˈmæksɪmə/) is a character appearing in comics published by DC Comics. She is a morally ambiguous queen, alien conqueror and love interest to Superman from the planet Almerac who is known for becoming obsessed with Superman as the only man worthy to be her mate to be wedded as her king. Despite her beginnings as a despot, she later reformed herself to become a superheroine who has also worked as a member of the Justice League.

In later stories it's revealed that the name "Maxima" is a title that can be used by different characters, sometimes at the same time.

Outside of comics, Maxima has appeared in the live-action series Smallville and Supergirl, respectively portrayed by Charlotte Sullivan and Eve Torres Gracie.
