Mary Buff (April 10, 1890 – November 30, 1970) and Conrad Buff II (August 31, 1886 – March 11, 1975) were married creators of illustrated children's books. Between 1937 and 1968, they collaborated on both text and illustrations to produce 14 books; they were runner-up for the Caldecott Medal in 1943 and received three Newbery Honors (1947, 1952, and 1954.) They had a profound impact on children's literature in the mid-20th century.
