Marian Alojzy Łomnicki (9 September 1845 – 26 October 1915) was an ethnically Polish geologist, zoologist, paleontologist and encyclopedist who lived in the Austrian Empire and from when ilhe was about 22 in Austria-Hungary. His son Antoni Marian Łomnicki became a mathematician, while another son Jarosław Łomnicki became an entomologist.
