Manouba Governorate (Arabic: ولاية منوبة Wilāyat Mannūbah pronounced [ˌmænˈnuːbæ]; French: Gouvernorat de la Manouba) is one of the twenty-four governorates (provinces) of Tunisia and is in inland, northern Tunisia. It has a population of 379,518 (as of the 2014 census), and an area of 1,137 km2. The capital is Manouba. The current governorate, created on July 31, 2000, brings together delegations that previously reported to the governorate of Ariana. It is part of Greater Tunis, along with the governorates of Tunis, Ariana, and Ben Arous.
