Major histocompatibility complex class I-related gene protein (MR1) is a non-classical MHC class I protein, that binds vitamin metabolites (intermediates of riboflavin synthesis) produced in certain types of bacteria. MR1 interacts with mucosal associated invariant T cells (MAIT).
