Look to the East policy

Look to the East (Persian: نگاه به شرق, Negâh be sharq) is a foreign policy strategy in the Islamic Republic of Iran that has been proposed since Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's presidency in 2005. However, there is no consensus among experts as to which countries are among the goals of this policy, and from which point of view this policy should be viewed. There are at least three different views.

This policy falls within the theoretical framework of constructivism.
