The Left Bloc (Portuguese: Bloco de Esquerda [ˈblɔku ðɨ ɨʃˈkeɾðɐ], BE), colloquially shortened as O Bloco, is a political party in Portugal. A left-wing populist and democratic socialist party, it has been described as left-wing to far-left. It is currently led by José Manuel Pureza.
