Kyle David Whittingham (born November 21, 1959) is an American college football coach and former player who is the head football coach at the University of Michigan. He previously served as the head coach at the University of Utah from 2005 until 2025, and is the all-time leader in wins for the program. Whittingham served as defensive coordinator of the Utes for ten seasons prior, having spent 32 consecutive seasons with the program. He won AFCA Coach of the Year and the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award after leading the 2008 Utah team to an undefeated 13-0 season.
