Kulish (Ukrainian: Куліш, Russian: Кули́ш, Polish: Kulisz) is a surname of Ukrainian origin. In the Ukrainian language kulish (куліш) means "millet porridge". The Russian variant of this dish, kulesh (куле́ш, 'kasha, gruel') should be differentiated from kulesha (Ukrainian: кулеша) (maize-flour porridge).
