C. Kim Bracey is an American politician. She served as the 24th Mayor of York, Pennsylvania, from January 4, 2010, to January 2, 2018. She was the first African American mayor of the city and the second woman elected to hold the office. Betty Marshall, who was elected in 1977, served as the first elected female mayor of York from 1978 to 1982. Jessie M. Gross served as York's first female Mayor, being appointed to fill the remaining term of Mayor John L. Snyder, who died in office in October of 1969.
