Kelly Gene Hancock (born December 2, 1963) is an American businessman and politician who has served as the acting Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served in the Texas State Senate for District 9 and in the Texas House of Representatives from the 91st district, representing part of Tarrant County from 2007 to 2025. He resigned from the Senate in 2025 to become the Chief Clerk for the Texas Comptroller's Office. Hancock sought a full term in the 2026, but would lose the Republican primary.
