Kanlaon Patera is an active volcano on Io, the most volcanically active body in the Solar System, and the third largest moon of the planet Jupiter. Kanlaon Patera is approximately 94 km (58 mi) in diameter. It is a ground-level volcano and does not possess a cone — unlike most volcanoes on Earth, which usually have distinctive cones or shields.
