Kalaoa is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) in Hawaiʻi County, Hawaiʻi, United States. The population was 9,644 as of the 2010 census, up from 6,794 residents at the 2000 census.
In the 2020 U.S. Census the area taken by Kalaoa CDP was now in the Kaiminani CDP.
