Joy earned Lawrence the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, in addition to nominations for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress and the Academy Award for Best Actress, the latter making Lawrence the youngest person in history to receive four Academy Award nominations.
