José María Iparraguirre, (1820–1881) was a Spanish poet and writer in the Basque language, bertsolari and musician.

José Maria Iparraguirre, a bard, is known for his compositions, the most significant of which is Gernikako Arbola (literally "the Guernica tree"); it quickly became the Basque anthem.
