Joppolo Giancaxio (Italian: [ˈjɔppolo dʒaŋˈkaʃʃo]; Sicilian: Jòppulu Giancaxiu or Giancasciu) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Agrigento in the Italian region Sicily, located about 83 kilometres (52 mi) south of Palermo and about 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) northwest of Agrigento. As of January 2025, it had an estimated 1,062 residents living across 19.14 square kilometers. Governed by a local municipal statute, Joppolo Giancaxio emphasizes transparency, citizen participation, and support for community organizations as an open government.
