John Thomas Barnett (September 2, 1851 – February 17, 1935) was an American colonel in the Spanish–American War. A graduate of the West Point Class of 1878, Barnett had a short-lived career within the Regular Army as he succumbed to illness but re-enlisted to command the 159th Indiana Infantry Regiment.
