John Nicholson (1757 – December 5, 1800) was a Welsh-born American financier and government official who served as Pennsylvania's comptroller general from 1782 to 1794. He played a key role in managing the Commonwealth's finances in the post-Revolutionary era but became widely known for his land speculation activities and eventual financial collapse.
