John McDonough (born May 19, 1953) is an American sports executive who specialized in marketing. He spent two decades with the Chicago Cubs, serving as president from 2006 to 2007. In 2007, he left the Cubs to become president of the Chicago Blackhawks. On June 1, 2011, McDonough was promoted to president and CEO of the Blackhawks, serving until he was released on April 27, 2020. During his tenure leading the front office of the Blackhawks, the team won three Stanley Cups.
