John Holmes Overton Sr. (September 17, 1875 – May 14, 1948), was an attorney and Democratic U.S. representative and U.S. senator from Louisiana. His nephew, Thomas Overton Brooks, was also a US representative, from the Shreveport-based 4th district of Louisiana.
