Joe May (born Joseph Otto Mandl; 7 November 1880 – 29 April 1954) was an Austrian film director and film producer and one of the pioneers of German cinema. He later contributed to the American film industry mostly through "B-movies" after he fled from the Nazis in the 1930's.
