Joan Sheldon (archaeologist)

Joan Sheldon (1906 – 1994) was an environmental archaeologist at the UCL Institute of Archaeology. She was the assistant to archaeologist Frederick Zeuner. Her specialization was in the identification of charcoal. After her retirement, she wrote about environmental archaeology at UCL.
