Jacinto de Carvajal

Jacinto de Carvajal (c. 1587 – c. 1648) was a Spanish Dominican friar, missionary, geographer, and writer, best known for his Relación del descubrimiento del río Apure hasta su ingreso en el Orinoco, one of the earliest and most detailed accounts of the geography, wildlife, flora, and indigenous peoples of the middle Orinoco region in the 17th century.
