Itaí is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 27,382 (2020 est.) in an area of 1,083 km2 (418 sq mi). The elevation is 614 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language, "Itaí" means river stone. The Tropic of Capricorn crosses the city of Itaí.
