Israel–Malaysia relations

Israel and Malaysia maintain no formal diplomatic relations. Malaysia acknowledges Palestine as a sovereign state while refusing to recognise the state of Israel, and has maintained that any steps toward recognition are contingent on Israel's withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories and the establishment of a Palestinian nation within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, under a two-state solution.
Although Malaysia publicly maintains a hostile position towards Israel, commercial relations between the two countries exist, albeit significantly limited. Israeli passport holders are forbidden from entering Malaysia without written permission from the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs. However, Israeli citizens who are also nationals of other countries, i.e., holding more than one citizenship, may enter Malaysia using their non-Israeli passports.
