The International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) is an Islamic public university located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is one of the world's most prestigious universities for Islamic learning and is considered as one of the three major Islamic universities in the Muslim world alongside the Al-Azhar University in Egypt and the Islamic University of Medina in Saudi Arabia.

The Islamic University was founded in 1980 and restructured with its current name in 1985 under President Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. Its old campus was in Sector E-8 near the Faisal Mosque whereas the new campus is within Sector H-10.

The university teaches Islamic law, jurisprudence, theology and other religious subjects. Apart from Islamic studies, non-religious subjects are also part to its curriculum. The university has same-gender education, in contrast to co-education that is widespread in most Pakistani universities.

The university is regularly listed among the most recognized universities and prestigious degree awarding institutions of Pakistan by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The university ranks joint second in the 2022 top university rankings of Times Higher Education World University Rankings in Pakistan. It also constantly ranks among the best universities in the country for the general category by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
