Kim Tae-pyung (Korean: 김태평; born September 25, 1982), better known by his stage name Hyun Bin (현빈), is a South Korean actor. Throughout his television and film career, he has been nominated for or won several awards, including five nominations at the Baeksang Arts Awards, and winning the Grand Prize for Television at the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards and the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Actor in 2025. Hyun was named Gallup Korea's Television Actor of the Year in 2011. The international success of Hyun's works established him as a top Hallyu star.
Hyun first gained widespread recognition for his role in the romantic comedy My Lovely Sam Soon (2005). Since then, he has played lead roles in successful television shows, including romantic fantasy dramas Secret Garden (2010–2011), Memories of the Alhambra (2018–2019), and romantic drama Crash Landing on You (2019–2020). His popularity was further widened by starring in a series of box office hits: period action The Fatal Encounter (2014), action thriller Confidential Assignment (2017) and its 2022 sequel, as well as crime thriller The Swindlers (2017).
