Hout (Arabic: حوط, also spelled Hut) is a village in southern Syria, administratively part of the Suwayda Governorate, located south of Suwayda. Nearby localities include Umm ar-Rumman to the south, Samad to the southwest, Bosra to the west, Nimrah and al-Qurayya to the north and Salkhad to the east. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Hout had a population of 873 in the 2004 census. Its inhabitants are predominantly Druze.
