The House of La Fayette is a French family of Nobles of the Sword, from the province of Auvergne, established during the Middle Ages by the lords of the fief of La Fayette held by the senior branch of the Motier family. The house achieved great distinction including the dignity of Marshal of France during the Hundred Years' War.
