Highlander: The Animated Series is a French animated television series based on the Highlander franchise, which premiered on September 18, 1994. It is a loose spin-off and sequel of the 1986 film of the same name. The series was produced by Gaumont Télévision, as its first animated production (the team would soon eventually evolve into Gaumont Multimédia, and later Xilam) with the worldwide distribution rights owned by Bohbot Entertainment (later BKN International).
