Harsh Vardhan Shringla (born 1 May 1962) is a retired Indian diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service who is currently serving as the Member of the Rajya Sabha having been nominated by the President of India since 2025. He has served as Foreign Secretary of India from 2020 to 2022 and India's Ambassador to the United States where he was closely involved in the planning of Howdy Modi in 2019. He has also previously served as the High Commissioner to Bangladesh, and the Ambassador to Thailand. His aunt Chokila Iyer was the Foreign Secretary of India from 2001 to 2002. He is also a Viksit Bharat Distinguished Fellow.
