Great Wagon Road
The Great Wagon Road, also known as the Philadelphia Wagon Road, is an historic trail in the Eastern United States that was first traveled by indigenous tribes and later by explorers, settlers, soldiers, and travelers during the colonial era. It extended more than 800 miles (1,300 km) north to south along the eastern seaboard, from British Pennsylvania to North Carolina via the Great Appalachian Valley and from there further south to Georgia.
