Gorshechensky District (Russian: Горше́ченский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-eight in Kursk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,400 square kilometers (540 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Gorshechnoye. Population: 14,678 (2021 census); 18,591 (2010 census); 22,835 (2002 Census); 26,372 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Gorshechnoye accounts for 34.8% of the district's total population.
