Fourth Reich
The Fourth Reich (German: Viertes Reich) is the hypothetical successor to Nazi Germany, also known as the "Third Reich" (1933–1945). The term is used to describe the regime's possible survival (e.g. in South America) or its resurgence as envisioned by neo-Nazis.
The term has also been used pejoratively by leftist commentators in the United States to describe the rise of right-wing populism and by Eurosceptics to decry Germany's influence on the European Union.
