Fonyód (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈfoɲoːd]; German: Fonjod) is a town and holiday resort on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, in north-west Somogy County, western Hungary, with over 4,700 residents. It is the seat of Fonyód District.
