Environmental issues in Egypt

Egypt's environmental problems include, but are not limited to, water scarcity, air pollution, damage to historic monuments, overpopulation, and loss of green spaces. Agencies such as the Egyptian Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs have been created to promote and protect Egypt's natural resources.
