The Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT) was a community/charter school based in Columbus, Ohio, United States. It was sponsored by the Lucas County Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West (ESCLEW) in Toledo, by chapter 3314 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Students performed their work either on computers they already owned or on those supplied to them by the school. Work was performed online via secure intranet connections.
ECOT had the lowest on-time graduation rate of all high schools in the country, despite its large graduating class size. In 2016, it shut down amid a legal battle over alleged misreporting of the number of students, which was used to determine state funding.
