Eigengrau

Eigengrau (German for 'intrinsic gray'; pronounced [ˈʔaɪ̯gŋ̍ˌgʁaʊ̯] ⓘ), also called Eigenlicht (Dutch and German for 'intrinsic light'), dark light, or brain gray, is the uniform dark gray background color that many people report seeing in the absence of visible light.
