Founded in 1922 by Edward D. Jones Sr., the firm operates a large network of branch offices in the United States and Canada, primarily serving individual investors and small businesses.
Edward Jones introduced the branch-office brokerage model in the United States and is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).
